If only the subjective reviewers would attempt at some semi-quantitative comparison, it would make them more relevant. By that I mean it's daft to review any piece of kit in isolation, they need to be compared to at least one other well known "reference" that are common, obviously the greater the number of "reference artefacts" in any review the better, and the more likely it's going to be useful as a rough guide. Secondly, I never hear anyone mentioning specific details about the tracks they are listening to, and I don't mean the waffly nonsense red wine speak from hifi mags, I mean the details you can or can't hear; for example background chatter on pink floyd tracks, can you more easily hear what's being said in the background, can you hear the octave drop in the bass player. I've watched a few Z reviews, and give up before the end in frustration and boredom; there's little info of any use in them.
