What headphone(s) do you own ?

Koss, Pro-ject, Sennheiser (repaired with Deebee pads) & Sony (the better, gift from my youngest son. Plus, it's blue) .

You should have chosen some bold col... oh, never mind...
I like them a lot better in person than I thought I would. I was literally just using up filament on hand. Had red/blue, so decided to go full Sony. But the ugliness comes way more from the oversized headband than the colorway.

Recently found this beauty used for 30 EUR: KEF M500

Theyeeded new earpads, but this appears one case where cheap third party and original don't differ too much. A bit bassy, but otherwise quite nice sound, and likely as close to comfortable as on ear headphones can get.

They was my first serious headphones.
Unfortunately I didn't manage at the time to find new earpads and the cable was broken. It is very hard to find 2.5mm jack (headphones side) that fits the tiny hole.

Audio-Technica ATH - CKD7NC BK.
I bought it by accident but it was a complete delight

For here: Dan Clark E3 (good without glasses), HD6xx, Daybreak, Crinear Reference (favorite overall IEM), Moondrop Variations (Second favorite), Mega5EST. Honestly all the IEMs are very close.

For Head-fi :Astrolith (Favorite for female vocals and Electronic Music), Audeze LCD2 (my favorite), Atrium (for harsh music), and Bokeh Open.

I own a pair of Sony MDR-M1 cans.

I tried almost every 1k plus headphone and the HE1000 unveiled with bass boost is the best to my ears. It sounds so real. That being said the scale and dynamics of speakers I still prefer.

Sennheiser IE900 with Mojo 2 just with me now in Southern France

Update from my original post a couple years ago https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...what-headphone-s-do-you-own.4285/post-2126843

for me:
FiiO FT1 PRO

family sets:
Moondrop U.C.T.S.

Also got Brainwavz Hybid pads for the JBL Live 770NC to get a more comfortable, cooler fit, which worked but not enough so the Moondrop OWS did the trick.
I've got SpinFit Omni ear tips on the way to try with my WF-1000XM3 and thinking about trying AZLA Origin tips for my Super.Fi 5 Pro to fine tune the fit and sound on those.

Main thing is messing with EQ using iQualize on my laptop and JCALLY JM20 Pro dongle has brought out the best, especially in my older headphones.

Hifiman Arya Organic
Aune SR7000
Zaylli Lyro
Focal Bathys

Sennheiser HD518, not really used anymore, but kept for sentimental reasons
Sennheiser HD599, will end up replacing my daughter's current set when they fall apart (won't take long)
Sennheiser HD620S, I haven't decided yet whether to keep them or sell them

Nothing Ears (3)
Bose QC Ultra

Currently in use (newest to oldest purchase):
  • Sennheiser HD 600
  • Hifiman Ananda Stealth (V3)
  • Sennheiser HD 560S
Plugged into an SMSL RAW MDA 1 and/or, for mobile laziness, a FIIO BTR5 2021.

I am really happy with this trio. The 560S sits sonically in the middle and could be called my “daily driver”, especially when I’m using a tablet as a source that sends its signals to the BTR5 via LDAC. I have no idea about an upgrade path that would make sense sonically and financially. I guess at some point it would be either the Hifiman HE1000 or the Sennheiser HD 800S, with me leaning, unsurprisingly, towards the 800S. But I’m in no rush at all.

The same goes for IEMs and TWS: I have used the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus (with Sennheiser tips) for years now. Very balanced and neutral, decent technical performance, very ergonomical. No real urge to replace them.

Budget Headphones:
Beyerdynamic DT770-250
Simgot EP5
Moondrop CHU 2 Dsp

Now seeking for an headphone Amp and/or DAC.

Headphones:
Bose Ae2
Koss KPH40/Retro

Sources:
old iPad Model A1822
old iPad mini Model A1432
Mac mini M4
Fosi Merak CD player

Grado Ps500 & sundara

Both held together by hopes, prayers and super glue.

The Grado may be my fav sound ever, never get fatigued. They may also be the most uncomfortable headphones ever.

Sundara are too comfy to replace and I very much dig the sound when zen amp xbass is on.

Had Audeze LCD-2 something and they sounded like ass without EQ and i cant be arsed to EQ my whole desktop just to listen to music.

Leave every idea of a perfect flat sound and enjoy whatever
