Now that I have been granted the grace of retirement, I can finally devote myself fully to my passions.
In addition to my synthesiser studio and some vintage gear at home (e.g. Quad II, T+A Criterion 100), these include the following headphones:

Sennheiser:
- HD 450 BT
- HD 580 Precision
- HD 580 Jubilee
- HD 58x
- HD 600 (2x)
- HD 650
- HD 6xx
- HD 800s

AKG:
- K181 DJ
- K712 Pro

Love them all, each has its specific application in the studio or at home.

Hehe, if you use EQ (and to some extent even if you don't) you could probably sell all the HD 580, HD600, HD650 and HD6XX because they're all pretty close or of the same general headphone chassis. I think you may as well chuck an HD560s into there as I can see you're a Sennheiser fan!

Hehehe, Yes I could actually do that

But yes, on the one hand it's actually the (inherited) Sennheiser passion, on the other hand the good pieces are also widely distributed in the flat. The older you get, the more comfortable you become…

In the studio, however, I deliberately keep the 600 and 650 next to each other, because their slightly different tonal design is perfect for (EQ-free) mastering. In combination with the K712 and the Neumann loudspeakers, this results in a very useful set of alternative sound sources.
At the moment I'm also considering the 620 as a second closed system alongside the K181. But only if one turns up second-hand at a favourable price.

I'd say HD560s (the New Version) is probably the most neutral headphone at stock that I've used, so it could be useful for you if you're creating music. I've got some Anechoic Flat speakers and have experimented with Harman EQ's (& variations on those EQ's) on my various headphones, so I feel that I have a good understanding of what neutral sounds like.

Got in a new pair today :) Audeze CBRN2

Sony WF-1000XM3

Could you please do a follow up review on them? Keep us posted.

They are like the original CRBN but much better bass, and the rest of the sound signature also is more refined. Also they changed the pads from the crazy soft pads on the OG CRBN to something firmer. I assume so they last longer? Just takes the original and upgrades it. It did not turn it into a bright Stax tho. The best measuring estat I think.

About the Sony MDR-MA900
It's a great pair of headphones, very light at just 111g, Magnesium construction, angled 70mm(!) drivers, and very airy sound, with amazing bass. However, a little dark for my taste, not to say warm, which some people like more, like the HD 650, for example. I'm more of a bright listener.
Of course, I also have a version modded with mini-XLR jacks, which I use with Van den Hul cables. Because, I once bought it from a studio/sound engineer. :)
I like the term 'dark ma900', it's great for me in heavy metal songs, and fps games, been running them as daily driver since 2013, got it for 135 GBP from Japan, i only broke plug and replaced it, and changed pads to hybrid, hehe, and throughout the years kept juggling them between Sennheiser hd 500/g4me series, akg k702 and corsair virtuoso pro wired, sundara, a couple of closed backs, which never won me over ma900 and sennheiser hd 500. The spaciousness of ma900 and hd560s and k702 has been winning it for me for years, would consider sundara as top4 headphone, haha. I would part ways with k702 and sundara i guess, but not with ma900 and hd560s as of yet

I've been selling a lot of headphones and related gear in an effort to minimize clutter, especially with using speakers most of the time. For amps/DAC's, I'm left using my NAD D3045's headphone out at my desk and have a few USB-C dongles for on-the-go usage (Jcally JM20 and Keysion ES9281) with the following headphones:

1) Sennheiser HD600: EQ'd to Harman: around the house and desktop listening. A neutral reference and classic headphone. I think I'd always keep these.
2) Sennheiser HD560S: Bedroom listening strictly for movies/shows. I plug in directly to a Roku remote and the 560S is easy enough to drive this way. I've just ordered a passive EQ filter from Solderdude's website as there wouldn't be an easy way to EQ the Roku remote's headphone out otherwise.
3) 7Hz Salnotes Zero: On-the-go, travel, office and at home usage, these are my daily drivers and do it all. They're so cheap, I have 3 of them (they were as cheap as $13 on Aliexpress). To my ears, no EQ is necessary with these. They sound fantastic and really show that IEM's might be a solved problem.

Just curious ...
What headphone(s) do you currently own ?
Which one(s) is(are) used the most, or is your favorite ?
Airpods. All wireless earphones will not last long even if they are fully charged after being used for a long time, and I will have to bring a wired one when I go out.

Personal favourites:

-Sennheiser HD560s: Near perfect out of the box, perfect with minor EQ, as my listening levels are low and distortion in the bass remains low

-Sennheiser HD-25 II: I have used these since I was a teenager and I had to panic buy something for my first monitor mixing gig for a local concert for local bands. I got so used to the sound it's just natural to me and it took a LONG time for my ears to accept anything else. I love them and will never ever part from then. I don't care how they measure and don't want to know. We have seem the world together.

-Bunch of KZ IEMs that really only require a bit of tip rolling to sound absolutely perfect, also depending a bit on the environment and the general mood of the day - tonally they are quite different but that's okay as long as there are no sharp peaks, it's just a flavour thing
-PRX (foam tips or reverse hybrid foam tips)
-ZVX Pro (reverse hybrid foam tips or silicone tips)
-Zenith (bog standard silicone tips)
-Decet (reverse hybrid foam tips)

And the rest:

-Sennheiser EPOS QSP 670 for gamery moments
-Tronsmart Spunky Beat (I love this one completely unrationally, it's really not perfect, but it was like 15€ for TWS buds and it is not horrible and the name makes me giggle)

..also in my drawer are other IEMs I have collectes because Thou Shalt always have something on the way from Aliexpress. I am waiting for my Truthear Gate to arrive as we speak! Most are pretty good, some just okay and only the Juzear is awful.

KZ ZVX, Castor Pro Bass, Castor Pro Harman, Krila, ZS 10 Pro X, Libra X, Libra HiRes, Libra Balanced, Saga Bass, Vader Balanced, Vader HiRes

Moondrop Chu2, 7hz Salnotes X Crinacle Zero 2, Juzear Clear

Various entry level "pro IEMs", mainly Shure 215/315 models. What happens is you forget where you put them drunk on a tour and then you panic buy new ones and find the old ones later.

How does the CRBN2's bass compare to the Sennheiser HD650, if you're familiar with them?

I don’t own any, but if I did, I’d probably rock the Sony WH-1000XM5 for the noise canceling and comfort!

I got the 1000XM4 for my daughter (16yo). She likes them and says the noise canceling is good.

I tried them and they feel like a toy headphone. Soundquality of a 200€ headphone at best.
Uncomfortable / plastic feeling.

But I’m comparing them to my Aeon 2 noire and Meze Liric.

I have a bit of a collection:

Stax L700 with SRM-006tS energizer
Oppo PM-3
Sony WH-1000XM3 for its impressive noise cancellation
Sony MDR-7510
Sennheiser HD560s (digital piano practice)
Shure SE535 iem
Bose OE-1 impulse buy at an airport during a very long wait for my late return flight!
I have no doubt there are others too!

I seem to be attracting the bleedin things!

The T70p received some modification. The too loose fit was fixed by using the firmer steel spring headband of the pro series. The cushion of the MMX 300 pro and Dekoni Platinum deliver good comfort. The fleece disc of the DT700 pro x tames the treble a bit without sacrificing too much detail.

The old cables were already a bit stiff and thus replaced. I used the 1,6 m cable of the DT 770/32, which doesn't have the awkward angled plug of the original cable. Soldering was a bit tricky, the contact points of the tesla drivers are very small.

The silver hinges were replaced with black ones - just for looks.
