Yeah, the rest of the deck is ringed by 18" logs to keep the dogs in check. that one is sort of split, but it does the job. I work outside all day, so the sound and the mess are part of the picture.
You need to start an audiophile YouTube channel

I really want to see the measurements of JBL Arena 120 and 130.

I like to get a gauge of what categories of products I should be testing more (electronics only). So please vote.

As usual, I won't necessarily listen to you all. :D But like to have the data anyway.

You can vote for more than one product but please be selective.
There is a huge discussion going on here about BACCH4Mac. The science is being questioned. Could you look into it?

I have not read the thread. What is the TLDR?

First thing, thank you for your reply.

The General Forum threads are: "Dr. Edgar Choueiri Explains BACCH" and " BACCH4Mac 'Absolute Sounds Product of the Year 2024'".

That brings up something I and many scratch their heads over, what does a particular acronym stand for? A list with just the words for each letter would be a nice addition. Definitions is a big ask.

TLDR = Too Long, Didn't Read. ;)

I stumbled on something that would be very interesting to see tested, OSD Nero HTD6150
https://www.outdoorspeakerdepot.com...543-channel-home-theater-power-amplifier.html
6x175W@4Ω, bridgeable = lots of peak power for an LCR amp. And for $799 nothing seems close.* So I am REALLY curious how the performance is...

*A brief survey of 3-channel amps yielded either $1500, or not significantly more power than an AVR (Emotiva BasX, for example).

For the same price you could now get the 8-channel version:

8-channel class D for only $799 and before the $200 Amazon Prime discount smells kinda of fishy to me... I've contacted OSD Nero asking them which modules are used but never received a reply...

I want to try all vintage fender amplifiers
Many head units run 16 ohm extremely efficient (100db+) free air speakers. They may not do so well with your typical home speaker, not saying they can’t be used but you need to understand the amp and speaker specs very well.

Pro Audio — I/O units, mic pres, etc. Separate the wheat from the chaff, find bargain.

Are you close to a Daiso?

This 550yen earphone looks really close to the Harman curve. Maybe with more mids which I like.

Long time lurker first time poster. I met amirm over on Head-Fi years ago. I’d love to see the iFi Audio xDSD Gryphon reviewed.

As vinyl seems to be a matter of ongoing interest, I’d like to see some examples of turntables to be reviewed here. Like some Pro-Ject Debut player, any not too expensive Technics and maybe the Denon DP-3000NE.

Let me save you some time. They all suck.

Is it mandatory to take only those models into consideration that a likely to be reviewed »un-sucking«?
Honey, all turntables suck. They produce inferior sound. Substandard. You don't like substandard sound do you?
