What do you guys think of the newly released Nobsound E6?

Feedback is feedback, inherent or not. Again, read The f-word. And just so you know Bruno did not make this up himself, its been known in control system engineering for 80 years. Why do audiphools think audio electronics is special and dosnt conform to standard electronic theory and design?
You do realize that Global feedback is trying to correct a signal that has already passed through multiple gain stages, right?

How do you uncook an overcooked pizza that has already made it to the end of the conveyor oven?

That's precisely why I avoid designing pizzas with NFB.

Pineapples have to figure into this analogy, at some point and in some manner.

That's one case where you will get negative feedback from me.

i feel like this place needs a separate forum for tube fans... i mean this stuff always seems to come up

the above tube stage devices are as old as time... this was one that i seen:

but you dont really need to read it... its all the same stuff from 50yrs ago

i'm obviously not a tube believer but if it costs less than $100 to try it out then... why not? you may like that distortion effect?

ok i just bought one of these chinese tube line stages

i'm gonna be mighty upset if i like the sound

If not, you'll have hours of fun trying to make it sound better.

For serious listening I wouldn't waste my money on this junk.
What gets me -- and I guess the only part of this side of the 'hifi' hobby that I feel bad about -- is people who buy a $30 or $60 USD box, then spend hundreds of dollars on tubes, upgraded passive components (capacitors, typically), and op amps in a quest for... what?
Then, I also see rationales along the line of "hey, it [the box] costs less than dinner for my family at McDonald's!" Why not buy one? I can just throw it away if it's junk!" The rubric I would apply is slightly different. Let's say the box costs $60. Would I take three $20 bills, roll them up and set them alight? If so, then, sure, I'd buy one.

I just cannot get my head around spending large sums of money on cheap things*

I am ever reminded of the folk tale known as Stone Soup or Nail Broth by such fiscal strategies. ;)

Appropriately enough, ripped straight from an LP (and, no, not by me). :)

Uh oh. Those B652s have frustrated people for years.

FWIW, I don't think this is the place.
Mind you, I am a tube audio guy, for a lot of reasons.
Most of them have nothing to do with objectivity.

Such a forum would be populated by newbies and trolls and I fear both classes' posts/questions would be rather harshly dealt with.
Further, one "side" would, I'd opine, never "convince" the other.
To turn the question sideways: Does ASR need, e.g., an "analog sources" forum? ;) What would that be like?

Just my thoughts and opinions on the matter, offered strictly as-is and FWIW. :)

off tangent but i never heard of the 652s... remarkably well reviewed but you can bet they are all idiots on amazon

but the best review sums it up... "these are the best speakers you can buy for $50"

in the same way the Big Mac is the best burger you can buy for $5

billions served, few satisfied

my opinion about our hobby, in fact many hobbies, is that as you go up in price you consider the purchase more and more

eg. if you were after a $1,500 preamp then you STUDY the damn thing and make sure it works in your setup AND it charts the way it should

if you're buying a $50 tube stage from the likes of Douk/Nobsound/Weilang/BRZ etc. then you know what to expect

I am constantly reminded of this forum's bete noir.. the Aiyima A07... people buy it I guess, people like it, and really, its worth a chance.

Still, if you're replacing the speakers that came for free with your computer, and you've never heard decent speakers, they may be sonic miracles.
