Hey,
I use one pair of headphones (DT 990 Pro, 80 ohm) and a cheap lavalier mic with my PS5 console. I really would like to have the option to switch the input for the DT 990 Pro easily between the PS5 and a Mac mini, without replugging anything.
The possibility to add a phone as third input-source would be cool but optional. Since I use one monitor for my PS5 and the Mac, adding background music with a third device while gaming on the PS5, would be just easier.

I've already tried these two setups:
Setup 1 (Xenyx 502s mixer, Sound Blaster G3, 2x Y-splitter cables splitting 3,5 into two 6,3 left / right plugs)
The SB G3 was connected to the PS5. Lavalier mic went right into the G3's mic-input port, and G3's outport-port was connected via Y-splitter to the mixer. Mac was also connected via Y-splitter. DT 990 Pro was connected to the mixer. Additionally, I could connect my phone with a USB-B to USB-C cable to the mixer, which allowed me to play background music while gaming on PS5.
----
Setup 2 (Sound Blaster G8 as all-in-one device)
PS5 and Mac mini are both connected via two separated USB-C cables to the SB G8. Lavalier mic and DT 990 are both connected directly with the SB G8. Additionally, I can connect my phone via AUX and a AUX to USB-C adapter, which also let me play background music while gaming.
––––––––––
While Setup 1 definitely was more improvised, and took more space on my desk, it offered me great audio without any noticeable interference.
Setup 2 looks better, feels more comfortable and also allows to not only switch the headphones but also the mic seamlessly between PS5 and Mac. Sadly, it does not work completely trouble-free.
Based on all of that, my question is if there is any other DAC/device that offers great audio quality and is reliability but still works for my needs? I've read about DAC's in combination with USB-switches, but I really prefer a one-device solution.
Thank you very much in advance, and thanks for reading.
