I am planning on buying a pair of AsciLab F6Bs, a WiiM Amp Ultra and a SVS SB-1000 Pro Subwoofer. Aside from power cables, it seems like I will need mono RCA cables to connect the Speakers and Subwoofer to the Amp. Is that correct, or is there something I'm missing? Do Speakers and Subwoofers require different types of RCA cables?

RCA cables are generally used for low voltage signals. Since your subwoofer is an active device (i.e. it has a built-in amplifier) it uses an RCA cable to receive its low voltage signal (roughly 1-2V). These are coaxial wires with an inner conductor and an outer screen/shield.

The F6Bs are passive speakers (they need an external amplifier like the Wiim Amp Ultra) which means they need a relatively high voltage signal over their wires (roughly 50-60V). For speaker wires you want heavier gauge wire (i.e. 12 AWG) in pairs (one +ve, one -ve per speaker) and normally use bananna plugs at the ends.

Yes, this ^^

You want 2x speaker cables (2 wires per cable) and 1x RCA cable.

If you know where you are going to put the speakers, you can measure and get the right length of cable. It's nice to get them not too long, to keep things tidy.

Don't worry about spending money on fancy cables that supposedly improve the sound, they don't. Just get something decent quality that won't break.

That gear should come with the necessary power cables, at least hope you're not thinking of the silly aftermarket stuff.

Note to mods: Could potentially merge with the OPs other threads:

One thing not mentioned so far in those other threads is that you may want to consider if you need some speaker stands. Perhaps others here can recommend some that work well with the Ascilab speakers.

Also, just checking, are you aware that there is a difference between the F6Bs (sealed) and the F6B (with passive radiator, suggested in the previous thread). In this case it isn't just the plural:

Stand size needed for these two could be quite different. F6Bs has less bass extension but might be better if you plan to mount on the wall.
