How about the NHT SuperOne. I saw the abysmal review of the SuperZero. The SuperOne is a few dollars more (but they can be purchased in singles). I have a set that I use for rears behind a couch where a ported speaker would be useless. Price is $151 per unit right now on Amazon. I'm willing to purchase and send for testing if there's interest.
I'm interested. I use them (the 2.1 version) as surrounds and as computer speakers.

The nice thing about these is that, like many studio monitors, they are available in singles and Sweetwater is selling a lot of their demo models right now (might as well since who knows when the next shipment will come in with everything being out of stock). So that makes it a bit easier. I kicked in $100 recently and continue to offer to buy equipment for testing but nobody takes me up on it.

Those are budget speakers? Clearly I am on the wrong forum
Welp, they are going for roughly 179 euros on thomann.de, so i thought price will be about same in USA, 179 euros = 200~ bucks, quite cheap for 8 inch.

Those are not indicated as MKII on the Thomann website. So it could be an old model.

I am sorry, I cannot find any info about MR824 MK2 or MK1, looks like there's only one version of that product, but I found HR824 MK2.
Is there a chance everyone was talking about the HR824 MK2?

The HR824 mk2 is indeed a lot more expensive.

It usually does not translate that way, for instance we pay way more for Focal speakers than people pay in Europe, shipping, duty, etc. Here is the price in Canada, $356.94.

I was able to get a pair of HR824 MK1s for $200 on the secondhand market. The HR824 is a large step above the MR824.
