Out of curiosity I just ordered a pair of these on Amazon for under $50 using a 50% off coupon that popped up. Should be interesting...
They hiss quite obvious, a measurement I would love to see on actives. Those look great. There may be some amp or ADC noise, though: http://digitalstereophony.blogspot.com/2015/12/tannoy-402-review.html?m=1
Weird that they would make such a nice recess for the AMT but not for the two domes, which look recessed and have a super wide dispersion, typically.
That is amazing value. I would order it now but I have no room whatsoever for it. Remind me again next month and I will get it.I'd love to see the Tannoy 402 measured and reviewed. It's a great little speaker especially for the price ($100 per speaker).
Didn't know they made this type of speaker. I am stuck with the last one of theirs I bought/reviewed. If I can get rid of that, I can buy this one to test. They'd need a sub but look interesting at $699 each.

What did they change from the one I tested? https://www.audiosciencereview.com/.../edifier-r1280t-powered-speaker-review.16112/

To me, the T80 and particularly the T80S, look even more interesting. You get bigger bass drivers and the slim version is only 5 inches deep!
For home theatre use probably. For music I would prefer the T65, they seem to fit a medium room nice and would pair great with a sub or a pair.To me, the T80 and particularly the T80S, look even more interesting. You get bigger bass drivers and the slim version is only 5 inches deep!
Nice waveguide and directivity but unfortunately poor on-axis tuning which can be corrected with EQ thoughI would love to see review and measurements for the Presonus Eris XT series with EBM Waveguide. Specifically the consistency in sound between E5, E7, E8 would be very interesting. They are dirt cheap, and look well designed and could suite a wide variety of Atmos setups. The R Series should be interesting as well.

Nice! I would really love to see the consistency across the range and effect of the bigger amp, tweeter and waveguide on the 7 and 8 though! Especially since the audioholics measurements and review of the 8XT is much much betterThere is already a review of the 5 - > Presonus Eris XT 5 by amirm
I think Microlab are now out of production, or at least they have restricted their selling countries, but I listened in the past to the 6c model and they sounded pretty good for the price.Microlab active speakers please. This is what I call a real budget option
