One of my fav books so I bought this for a mates kids 18th in April, he's got acceptance for Aberdeen uni, Strathclyde uni and waiting to see if he will get Glasgow uni before making his final choice - he's doing international relations and something else? - wants to follow his uncle mike into the foreign office/diplomatic/ambassadorship areas but that's a long long outside shot, even with mike pulling strings

I imagine the structure and premise of this book will serve him well, especially given the idiots in charge at the moment

I know this is a book thread, and I've not (yet) read this one, but I would recommend to you a movie called Idiocracy. It's actually quite entertaining.

Ha :D , one of the satirical truth movies that is always worth a repeated watch

Currently reading the autobiography of the 1983/84 Tour de France champion. Although in the USA, he's more well known for losing in 1989 to Greg Lemond, by 8 seconds....
Not familiar with him, I may grab one on Eddie Merckx and Lance Armstrong too.
