What are your opinions about Fyne Audio F500SP, F501 and F501E speakers? (which are better option for me?)

Yup... Fyne are very "colored" - read: not neutral in their sound, which makes them difficult to have in any setup + you won't hear your music presented as it really is.
KEF has a ton of different models in all price ranges, and even the smaller/cheaper Q models are quite good.
A couple I know are very happy with a set of Q550 and the matching center for their little home cinema/living room. The really well performing KEF coax driver in almost all their models, are very good for a wider seating position, smoother in-room reponse and easier placement.
I wouldn't touch any Fyne speaker with anything but a baseball bat - sorry... but there is just SOOO many good speaker out there.... why, why chose the lesser good ones??

Plenty of KEF speakers dont measure well. Generally speaking, the KEF's ive heard all sound lifeless and dead, even their well measuring and highly rated Blades were a letdown.

Just heard the Fyne 501S Sunday @ Axpona being driven by a Vincent integrated amp and it sounded excellent. Far better than *ANY* KEF's ive ever heard and ive heard the Blades and several other upper end models that i forget the model designations because there was no reason to remember them.

The Kef models measured here all score very well indeed. You are of course entitled to your subjective opinion, but I would far rather start with a high scoring speaker (objectively) any day of the week.

Why? Because my subjective opinion is the opposite to yours, having also heard the Blades.

The science brings some consistency when comparing speakers. Our ears are great only for ourselves.

Everyone seems to have their favourite frequency plot, or favourite review (mostly made up), or are religious about one brand or another.

Seems to me we're told it's a small room and the OP is considering bookshelf speaker as one option, so I get the feeling that musings about ultimate HiFi optimizations are complicating things.

Personally, I'd not go for bookshelf speakers, but standmounts if there is room, and the possiblity of subs later - if necessary. And if Fyne are on a good price locally, then why not? While all speakers and all rooms and all ears are different, just pick any well-known brand to get started. Remember that speakers can just be for Xmas and not necessarily for life!

I would recommend start with a transparent design, so at least you know what that sounds like and go from there.
