That's not a knoife.
This is a knoife!
It's easy to clean if... spills... were to occur. In this photo the dial reminds me of that vinyl flooring you often see at the dentist's or in hospitals

Yeah, I thought tile was better. If a spill dissolves a square or three you just replace them. Worked in one that had that resin coating over the whole floor and curved up 3 inches along the edges. That was pretty cool.... and I've dissolved tile floors in a biochemistry lab (or two).
Actually, it kind of looks like it’s falling apart. Someone on the design team must play the accordion.
I like the heatsinks on this one. I'm not sure the whole visual design hold together, though.
I remember my mom balancing the check book with hers....and Dad’s slide rule. Looks like the one you posted might of had some early solar cell tech. ; )My father had a similar device and as a kid, it took me some time to understand

The design is even more complex than that. The heat sinks are inside and not exposed.ok, I call bad design
the sides would make better heat sinks
Very clean design of an integrated amplifier: Audionet Humboldt
I used one of those for years -- still might be using it if it had remote control
Better yet, IMO, the Leica M3. I briefly owned one: an exquisite all-mechanical, all metal camera.cameras -- also many faves, but I am particularly partial to my son's Leica IIIf.
