Marc Cohen "Silver Thunderbird". And in a fond, nostalgic way, a very happy father's day to all. Having it here in Aus. and enjoying a sunny afternoon.
i'm not saying i'm a huge fan of Beyonce... in fact I;m really ambivalent of most of her studio stuff but her live in Vegas set is probably undoubtedly among these best in modern female vocals. I can easily see why she's a billionaire.
even the YT sound quality compares well with the redbook.
the start section from about 0'45" to about 1'15" is about as incredible vocal control as you would get from any contemporary.
Really good album! Out of interest how are you generating the 'now playing' screen?
I've been enjoying Australian folk/rock band The Paper Kite's new album At The Roadhouse. Quite a bit of variety, turn up "Black & Thunder" and see what you think.
Kite is also a track of this album from the Diasonics, a funk band from Russia.
Singles were well received end 2021, creating some anticipation for the album that probably suffered from the context in 2022.
I like this album as a whole, it sounds weirdly familiar and original at the same time.
PSA:
You know that Earworm you really wanted to listen to [and then, brag about it by posting it in this thread << ]... and couldn't remember the artist/song but recall the song's hummers like "Boom chaka, boom chika boom boom" or "dum dum badum dum" or "nanana na na nana na nana"???
Well, Google is here to help:
Google recently announced the hum-to-search feature for its mobile app, and it works pretty much as advertised: you hum, whistle, or (if you're brave) sing a melody in the app for about 10 seconds and it tells you what the song is, along with a couple of other candidates. If you're using Google Assistant, you can just say "Hey Google, what's this song" and then hum the tune.
