I just discovered Mongolian Folk Metal Bands after getting a link from a Peruvian friend here in Panama. It's music from the far east that even Thomas might like!

I've downloaded it to play on my main system this evening and will explore the genre a bit more. I actually did a LOL when I read the below in the comments:

No wonder why the Mongols almost conquered the entire world. This music is enough to turn a cowardly man into a fearless warrior who welcomes death as a passage to transcendence.
