Talk with a pal of using equalisation, I'm minded of a wonderful concert (gig is too crude) back in '94 or so by King Crimson at London's Royal Albert Hall. The sound was excellent I felt and I scuttled home to play a memorable track on the big ATCs, the bass eq'd gently to match (boosting the low bass and reducing the mid bass which the room filled in too much). Neighbours out and up goes the volume (the speakers could take it) :) Loads of live performances on Youtube now, but back then all we had was this original studio mix -
