This was a direct to 2-track recording. And, I think it may have been her best produced album in regards to voice/instrument balance. The middle albums became a little too voice forward and the latter albums, both too forward and compressed. I still enjoy them, but I suspect less than I could.

my all time favourite album
There's a dual disc CD/DVD-A available with a killer 5.1 surround mix on the DVD side.
Great disc but used prices are quite high now.
