What are we listening to right now..

Don't watch videos myself. People just use YouTube here as it's an easy way to share with peeps.
It's more about the music/content quality, rather than the format on most threads here.
Thanks for the response; I just didn't understand how it worked, as on other sites like Hoffman Forum, there are specific areas for posting about vinyl, CD, streaming, et al. Here, it seems like everyone just posts videos about music, and I simply didn't understand it -- in fact, I was reamed out in several threads here (mainly the Metal and Techno ones) for posting images of physical albums I was listening to. This is what made me feel like it's just about videos, which I'm not interested in posting about.

Sadly, in 2025 we're in the minority. I'm still and forever a physical media guy. :)
You know how I feel about that one, Rick -- I'm definitely in agreement.

But if you go onto other sites, you'll see where we're definitely not the minority -- plenty of folks still spinning LPs and compact discs. I'm surprised there isn't an area here for that...

Incidentally, how did you get to be a "Senior Member" while I was stuck with "Addicted to Fun and Learning" as a member status??

I don't even know what that means...o_O:oops:

The thread title is "What are we listening to now" not "how are we listening to it now" or "what format are we listening to it now". And the You Tube links offer a means for others to listen to these tracks. In the case of this thread, the medium is not the point, the message is.

Okay -- except, like I have been saying, on other forums, there are distinct "What Are We Listening To Now" threads and people contribute with their vinyl, CD and streaming behaviors. It seemed odd that no one seems to do that here, outside of posting about streaming/video play, so I was curious.

Still, there's no need for members to jump on me the way they did in other threads for posting images of what I'm listening to in physical form; I wasn't told when I registered that everything I posted needed to be in a small video clip form.

Well, this is a different forum.

What drives me nuts that I've seen a lot of on online forums, is the people that only post YouTube videos, like one every 5 minutes and lasting for hours at a time. I guess it's good for post count if that's your goal...

Possible deja vu/dementia/intoxicated repost.
Top tune either way. . Apologies.
