I'm listening to the Grateful Dead at Long Beach Arena 08-27-1981. A good show and great audience recording.

Cabin Fever - Michael Brecker - Tales from the Hudson (CD, Impulse!, Europe, 1996)

Nothing special audio wise. Live at an outdoor festival, always a challenge for audio and picture.

BBC Live did a good job given the impossibility of slapback and echo/ambience/audience in an enclosed live hall recording, pretty compressed.

You can listen to other performers on the BBC Music channel.

If you know anything about accompaniment, it is very delicate. Rodrigo, age 22, accompanied Smith, age 66.

I would prefer older bands collaborate with the next generation, rather than tour as the old band past prime.

The Rolling Stones Taylor Swift collaboration is another done well.

Next up: Grateful Dead Swing Auditorium in beautiful San Bernardino. All these shows are being transferred from my master cassettes to digital. And they are some of my favorite shows.
