What are we listening to right now..

Have 3/4 of that set of the London Symphonies. Also all 12 by Beecham and Davis/Concertgebouw. The Colin Davis set is growing on me, mainly due to the astonishing playing of the Concertgebouw.

One of my favorite from them, the part from ~3 min, especially leading to the guitar part at ~3:50 is amazing.

Alan Parsons Project - Pyramid 2024 BluRay
BD included new 5.1 and Atmos mixes both done by the master himself, Alan Parsons.
On first listen back in Jan 2025 It knocked my socks off! Atmos mix is probably the smoothest mix I've ever heard from Parsons.
I still can't seem to get enough of this new release even though I've been listening to the album for almost 50 years now.
Maybe a bit front - rear centric but otherwise excellent. 10

Enjoying this song from Dave Matthews (Some Devil) while reading the credit title of Iñárritu's 21 Grams

(I wish there were more movies like this now)

David Gilmour - Luck and Strange BluRay Atmos
Incredibly detailed and transparent recording
Engineered by Matt Glasbey but I'm not 100% sure who did the immersive mixing.
None the less, the Atmos mix is great!

Parra For Cuva, very chilled and atmospherical musical electronica, not boom boom stuff

Never mind what I was just listening to... The question is not even "Will you be listening to this?"

Spoiler: This is what His Master's Voice was listening to... way back in January 1904.
