I'm not surprised it's an '80s classic down under. Would almost file this next to some later Concrete Blonde songs (think "Caroline" or "Joey"). Dubbed "the thinking man's Pat Benatar" by some, I find native Kiwi Sharon O'Neill's discography very much of its time and occasionally high in caseine content, though there's a number of songs proving her an astute observer. Her earlier output is best, I think... I found the last album hard to even get through.
I'm not the biggest admirer of classical music overall, but some 30 years ago Wibi Soerjadi captured me with his rendition of Die Forelle, and he still does.
