She should have listened to Weird Al.:);)

Today on the radio, Ebba Busch, party leader of the Christian Democrats in Sweden, said about our large deposits of rare earth metals in the northern part of the country: We are literally sitting on a gold mine.

Weird Al:
And I thought that you'd gotten it through your skull
What's figurative and what's literal
Oh but, just now, you said
You literally couldn't get out of bed
That really makes me want to literally
Smack a crowbar upside your stupid head

Really, really like this album. Feels good to be back with a band that you haven’t listened to for a couple of decades and then discover that they are putting out fantastic music.

Now, this I thought was interesting. Here’s a good example of newer isn’t necessarily better. I just come across this remaster of one of my favourite albums of all time in the audiophile space. Jen Warnes – The Hunter.

This album has been with me many years for audio enjoyment, and a pretty much fantastic recording as well. I don’t have any idea what this remaster was about as I thought the original was pretty much the epitome of hi-fi sound, but I actually think they’ve made it worse :)

The thing has had some enhancements / embellishments if you can call them that, and bits added to the mix which is generally pretty much identical, but overall I think it sounds just a tad worse. The vocals are not so well-defined as the original and don’t sound as organic to me anyway.

Not sure what 29 years of audio development has gone into. Drinking coffee perhaps :D

I’m going to read the reviews now if I can find them.

Anyone else have a view on this new remaster, or just like the album/s in general?
