The Moody Blues with The London Festival Orchestra - Days of Future Passed (1967)
1986 CD issue, W. Germany

This one came in today. I haven't had a jewelcase feel rough and dull in a good while, but with copious amounts of isopropyl alcohol and some elbow grease it polished out fairly well. The CD itself, while of poor balance (as commonly seen among those with a rounded outer edge), ripped fine.

Now that I have this disc, I hopefully won't be confusing The Moody Blues and Procol Harum any more.

When I was in second grade one day I rode my bicycle up to Sea and Sound, the town pet store/music store. I had just got my first “system” which was a separate turntable, am/fm/8 track amp, and some speakers handed down from one of my older brothers. My dad bought me Against the Wind as my first official record and I wanted more of course. That led to the only thing I’ve ever become a collector of. As a kid there was always music playing it seemed and I like all kinds of genres but I never heard hard rock at home or on the radio just rock, pop/disco, and R&B (Hee-Haw on TV for my early country education). I had recently heard the song TNT on a cassette boom box in the playground at recess and it just struck a chord. I came home with this album though as my first ever purchase. I still have that record but a new one that I can actually play without thrashing my needle just got delivered and it’s been nice to listen to it in that way again.
