Yes definitely! Great stuff. Theorbos and archlutes are some of the most wonderfully bonkers instruments ever. I occasionally visit the websites of a few lute/theorbo builders and marvel at the logistics of building (let alone playing) such instruments. It would be fun to try though.

Frets are tied on and moveable – just to make things more fun for the player – and can be adjusted to suit the tuning / key of the piece.

I always wonder how on earth they managed to transport these monsters 500 years ago on the back of a donkey or ox cart and still have a playable instrument when they got to the gig ...
I always understood that the really big instruments belonged to the nobles in whose courts they were played, not to the musicians (who were mostly too poorly paid to own something like that anyway).

Yes, I had imagined that it would be like a harpsichord or something, delivered after being built and stays put for the most part with on site repairs and maintenance.

That band does their stage act superbly. I love it!
It represents Romani (Gypsy) native cultural at it's best in this part of the world. She whose considered as Gypsy queen and whose a great humanist. All do recording ain't great and it's very old (1961) nothing else would show it better and would be fake in that sense. Glad you liked it.
