The Blues In My Flat - with trumpeter Ray Nance singing beautifully, Pee Wee Russell sure-footing clarinet, Paul Gonsalves on tenor sax, Aaron Bell playing bass, Elvin Jones on drums, both Buster Cooper and Lawrence Brown blowing trombones, trumpeter Cat Anderson and old "Fatha" Hines doing magic with the piano like he has since the 1920s. Worth the effort to go stream it because it's so smooth you'll likely press replay at least once! This version on an album released in 1966, although a jazz standard since it was written by Lionel Hampton when he recorded it playing with Benny Goodman in 1938.
