Not so much of a bummer musically, but nice sound and some sort of »Spatial Stereo« or so. (At least when listening from Tidal.)

Uli Jon Roth, Scorpions Revisited......

New York-born, South India-raised and California-based multi-instrumentalist and scholar Ganavya melds spiritual jazz and south Asian classical music with ambient textures to create an otherworldly, transcendent experience.

She has collaborated with the likes of Quincy Jones, bassist and composer Esperanza Spalding and appeared as a guest vocalist at the much publicised debut performance of enigmatic soul collective Sault last year.

Her latest album, “like the sky I’ve been too quiet” released in March 2024, is a largely improvised collection of music recorded over three days in London in January 2023 with British jazz artist Shabaka Hutchings on production duties. It features contributions from some of contemporary jazz’s finest musicians with producer Floating Points and multi-instrumentalist Leafcutter John providing eerie electronic textures throughout.

A lovey tone, is she a baritone voice?
