What are we listening to right now..

Any moment now

Okay, color me bats*it crazy. Just finished listening to this and promptly ordered four more Missa Solemnis recordings; 2 conducted by L. Bernstein, 1 conducted by Ormandy, and 1 conducted by James Levine. Brings my total to 6.

Listening with Moondrop Chu II IEMs to see if "the sound completely falls apart for stuff that is fast and complex".

After fighting the rig and my hearing aids for best compromise this lunchtime and failing (this is getting to be a regular occurrence which terrifies me now), I offer this as my current vibe. Feeling really miserable as a result and the entire 'Hats' album, while incredibly beautiful to me, just doesn't lift the mood and actually had me howling earlier as old memories were stirred.

Ok… I checked out the lyrics! I now understand about old memories and long remembered lovers. Damn and bless you for reminding me…

i have this thing where i revisit the music of my youth... that is 80s 90s

back then i had various walkmans and eventually settled on this 3 in 1 stereo systems (ie. CD AM/FM CASS AUX) - i was smart enough to insist that I buy BRAND NAME... Sanyo Sharp Panasonic Sony

BUT we didnt have knock off brands back then.

this song is amazing

i literally have not heard this song for decades

on modern equipment you hear so much detail that 1980s gear cannot resolve

i hear that a lot... our stuff today pulls out instrument detail i did not know exists

also I have the CDs back at my dads place

Thom Yorke - The Eraser [2010 Japan]

It sounds better with a little time.
