My point is that the poll question is based on a false premise (that there is a single most important factor, when there isn't) so is fundamentally flawed. I'm responding as you asked in the OP:

Clearly not understood. The premise is that there is a "top performance factor that you look for in power amplifiers" to pick. That premise is false - there is no top performance factor - and that is the flaw. Everything else not being too shabby doesn't change that, so the flaw is NOT addressed.

The "wire with gain" thing again? (Although gain gets debatable these days)

I'll go by name then, power amp, so power.
Enough, sustainable, load invariant power, thermals at check (mijoter is a bad idea outside cooking) ,noise at check.

High impedance inputs so we don't care, etc.

Peace of mind, as any hobby should be.
