What about 【kef LS50WII+kc62】 vs 【genelec 8030c+7050c】?

Has anyone compared these two configurations? My listening distance is 1-2 meters

FWIW, I have a nearfield (80cm / 2.6 ft) setup on my desk in a 12 m2 /130 sq ft. room consisting of Genelec 8030c speakers and an Arendal 1961 1S subwoofer, integrated and room corrected via a MiniDSP Flex. It sounds pretty sublime.

I guess the LS50WII with a sub will sound amazing too. It will probably have a larger vertical sweet spot due to being coax. The LS50WII will have more distortion in the bass compared to the 8030c, but that doesn't matter that much if you cross over to the sub at roughly 100-120 Hz and don't listen at ear-damaging levels.

Hence, both should be fine and (close to) SOTA.

What makes a massive difference in my experience, though, is subwoofer integration and room correction, at least in untreated rooms. I'd worry more about that than about which of the two systems is marginally better. An easy way is to use a UMIK-1 + REW for measurements and a MiniDSP as an active crossover for sub integration and DSP for room correction. You can also use a multichannel audio interface and a software-based solution. I have no experience with the latter, but it should give you more flexibility, and you can harness your PC’s superior computing power to implement FIR filters.

If you want perfect sub integration and room correction without any manual tinkering (and learning), I would recommend an automatic but proprietary solution from either Genelec (e.g., 8330 + 7350 with GLM) or from Neumann (e.g., KH 120ii + KH 750 with MA1).

Tend to agree with the above. I have an 8030 +sub setup in my office corrected manually with UMIK-1 and an LS60 + kc62 setup in living room, (not so far from a ls50w + sub setup) also corrected the same way. No real complaints about frequency response in either case and in both cases I think the room and position is the limiting factor.
