Wharfedale Super Linton still a bit too fresh/bright for me, would the Linton 85 be more relaxed?

I notice a dip in the presence region 1-2kHz from Erin's measurements so did you also correct for that?
I'm going to use the pair I've just bought with a Wiim Ultra and room fit plus 2 subs. The worst room nodes are already mitigated by the subs, and I'll experiment with the crossover frequency but likely will keep it around 70-80Hz as it provides a massive increase in system headroom.
My approach is exactly as @staticV3 wrote, fix the known nodes or response deficiencies with focused EQ filters then add some more general countours. I add a high shelf at 10k to counteract ageing ears and a low shelf to bring out the sub bass

Small update:

In the end, I did order the Linton 85.

With the Super Linton, your advice had already brought me much closer to my goal. That was definitely the right direction.

Still, I always had the feeling that I had to adjust the basic character of the Super Linton to suit my ears. For four weeks, I almost constantly had my phone in my hand while listening to music, because I kept wanting to reduce something in the midrange or treble with the PEQ in the WiiM Ultra. After a while, listening to them became genuinely tiring for me. I am sorry to write this so honestly.

Since the Linton 85 arrived, I have simply been listening to music happily. In my room, with my ears and my system, they are exactly what I was looking for. To me, they simply sound more relaxed and are much easier to listen to for longer periods.

Interestingly, I currently do not use any EQ in the midrange or treble anymore. I only correct the bass. In that area, the Linton 85 excite the room much more strongly in practice at the same position than the Super Linton did. That matches what people often say about the Linton 85. Really surprising.

I measured the speakers with Dirac, but not because I wanted to use Dirac permanently for correction. I mainly wanted to see exactly where the bass peaks were. I have known Dirac for a long time and used it in the past, but even with many different target curves, I never got a result that really convinced me.

So I used the measurement curve, checked the bass problems more specifically, and with the help of ChatGPT created a suitable PEQ, which I then entered into the WiiM Ultra. For me, the result is better than any target curve I have ever achieved with Dirac.

The area that kept stressing me before is simply no longer an issue for me.

I know that the measurements do not necessarily show that the Linton 85 should sound clearly more relaxed. But subjectively, in my room, the difference is very clear to me.

I also bought them in black, and today the grey grilles arrived as well.

Honestly, I am simply overwhelmed.

The only thing I might still change at some point is the combination of the Denon X4800H and the Behringer A800. The A800 is mainly connected because I like to see the power output. So in a way, it gives me something similar to VU meters. Those kinds of meters have fascinated me for a long time.

I have modified the look of the A800 a little. For example, the side panels or rack ears are removed, so it does not look quite as out of place underneath the Denon AVR.

My problem is that there are so many beautiful devices and possible options. The Advance Paris X-A160, Advance Paris A12 Apex, Yamaha A-S1200 or A-S2200, and Onkyo M-80 are examples of devices that I find extremely attractive visually.

On the other hand, I also find Hypex or Purifi power amplifiers technically very interesting. At the same time, I know very well that I would miss the power meters or VU meters with those.

So if anyone has a good suggestion regarding the devices mentioned above, or something similar, I would be interested. What matters to me is that it looks good, has enough power, and remains enjoyable in the long run.

I do find the devices interesting, especially because of RoomPerfect. However, I do not really need all the streaming features, as my whole home setup is already based around WiiM. I have been using the WiiM Ultra with my Denon since it was released, and I am very happy with it.

So for me, a more classic amplifier or power amplifier would probably make more sense, ideally with enough power and nice power meters or VU meters. The streaming side is already completely solved in my system.
