Wharfedale Diamond 12 Owner's Thread

Specs

2026-03-10 10_43_35-Greenshot.jpg

4 and 5 and 6.5 inch woofers 100mm and 130mm (1 inch difference) but why is the difference the same when going from 5 to 6.5" ? the difference is only 6"

12.1i being 5" and the 12.2i is 6" not 6.5", google also say 6.5" is 165mm not 150mm so is it 6 inch or 165mm ?

Update

From surround to surround on the woofer 125 mm or 5" between the cone 4 inch or 100mm

As some has mentioned the diamond can have some inperfection in the finish, i did notice that on my 12.2i (ocd)

Im therefor playing on my 12.1i.

Slightly less bass but still down to 50hz close to flat mabye -3 db

Same sensitivity, power, 12 o'clock on my vibelink with 80% volume limit on my streamer, midrange is really good on the 12.1i

1/3 octave 35hz limit bk target curve

In my room i 100% perfer the size of the 12.1i than the bigger 12.2i

Get a subwoofer if you use the 12.0(i) the 12.1 (i) perfect balance, more easy to get a flat fr with room correction

12.2 (i) just a little bigger and more bass
