Hi everyone

I just bought wharfedale denton 85th however I found a problem that one of the speaker sound hoarse in low volume and I returned to the seller and the sent me a new one.
I received it yesterday and still has the same problem.
My question is anyone experince that problem that I have?

Or maybe need to break in? But the hoarse sound really annoying and doesn't make sense if have to go through that hoarse sound.

I tried to contact the Wharfedale HO in UK but their email was full and the email went back.

However I feel dissapointed about this product
Is anyone here has PIC wharfedale Head office in UK?

I think this is a serious problem regading their brand.

I tried to contact the distributor in My country and was not helpfull.

Or maybe because made in China and the QC was really bad??

Please give me an advice what should I do..

Regards,

Jimmy

No one seems to have answered you. They didn’t just send you back the same speaker repackaged, did they?
Assuming you've tried swapping L & R speakers or cables over and problem stays with speaker rather than amp channel?
Others have mentioned loose woofer bolts in other Wharfedale spkrs causing noise. May be worthwhile taking off grill and checking but don’t overtighten. They should have gaskets to act as seals and cushions.
Also gently push woofer in & out to check it doesn’t grind; that would indicate a mechanical issue.
If still problematic, photos on www suggest these spkrs are bi-wireable. If links are tight, might be worthwhile removing one and just connect amp to treble or bass sections to identify which section is producing unexpectedly hoarseness in sound.
Apologies if you’ve already tried all this.
