Welcome all suggestions on the Douk Audio DAC-Q11--We are going to design its updated version!!!

4th, it looks nice, has a glowing window, a huge knob, and a remote. These are all worthy benefits for $160....worth a lot more to most home users than balanced outputs which many pixel peepers here happily pay for.

5th, I would have paid +$40, if it had come with balanced outputs but NOT for testing purposes: I have a current use case, where Q11 feeds two different locations.

Having an issue with the Q11. As I'm playing various music from Amazon Music, the bit rate will change from 192khz (or 384 if thats what i set) to 352khz on the Display, and the sound will sound very tinny, and muffled. I then have to cycle through the optical, and coax, to get back to USB, to fix the issue. I'm usually in AKM mode, have yet to test if this issue is repeatable in the ESS mode. I have tried 2 units to and am experiencing the same bug.

I could be wrong, but it seems like its almost like some kind of protection kicking in.

It could be my pc, however the SMSL-SU1 doesn't do that, and neither did the Aiyima DAC-A2. I also recently (2 days) did a fresh reformat of windows 11 pro.

Almost certainly a driver issue.

Can you update drivers - or change them completely - eg to ASIO.

I installed the drivers that Douk recommended. Pretty sure they were called Saavi Audio. I'lll google around for the ASIO you recommend. Are those universal drivers?

Superb! This kills the curiosity of having two DACs to find out which is better. DACs may sound all the same but for one who wants to know this answers it. Same implementation I guess. Congratulations Douk Audio. Ignore the nasty comments.

There we have it, it's the "Ampapa Q1" by Douk Audio, the betoken successor of their "Q11" dual DAC chipset model. https://doukaudio.com/products/ampapa-q1
...And the foreseeable direct competitor to the upcoming "D20" DAC by Aiyima with -likely- comparable specs.

To begin with, I find it a little disappointing that when it comes to Bluetooth audio codecs support - no progress has been made. Still no aptX Adaptive support, just as not even well-established LDAC implemented.
The looks is quite sleek.
Once again, as it was the case with the Q11, I like the dual output section - a whole lot of opportunities for tinkering with two amplifier-speaker|headphone setups connected. With TRS added, it's actually quadruple output now.

Без поддержки аудиокодеков Bluetooth aptX Adaptive и LDAC - просто обычный ЦАП. Для приема Bluetooth, как и для передачи придется покупать другое устройство. Тогда зачем тут сделали Bluetooth ? - увеличить цену для не понимающих людей ? Странное решение - для тех кто не понимает и не слышит есть более дешевые и универсальные устройства. Бог с ним, с aptX Adaptive , но LDAC - то почему нет ?

"Это фиаско, братан". Какая-то тупиковая модель получилась. Разочарован. Пока оставлю своё древнее fiio , которое кстати почти все на том-же процессоре es9038 q2m.
Сравнения ess es9038 q2m vs 9039 q2m, по звучанию - для конструкторов, 9039 несомненно большой шаг, так как в не сильно навороченных конструкциях позволяет упростить и удешевить схему (не нужен микроконтроллер).
Если не для измерительных целей, а для "слушать", не обращая внимания на циферки у Амира, то пока никто реальных отличий в их звуке не услышал. Конечно, наверняка найдутся и те кто услышат.

Подождем, что конкуренты предложат.
