I'm guessing that a V-Dive from a boat makes that able to happen. And that the FRUNK is loaded with more than groceries for ballast.

That is awesome:
I prefer the innocuous sleeper cars (although I like mine to look nice [but not TOO nice] {or too obvious}).

There is an art car movement that decorates existing body styles.

A 1992 documentary interviews art car decorators of that era.

That is a little different than the unusual smooth or streamlined body styles on most of this topic.

It is movie Wild Wheels by Harrod Les Blank who has made many quirky documentaries. Toward the end is a touching segment on an older man who made a bejeweled memorial to his late wife. The movie is around and now homed at the Criterion Collection.

This is the Czechoslovakian Tatra T77 (build from 1934 to 1938). It was an expensive limo that was quiet fast for it's time with a topspeed of 150km/h. It was powered with a big V8 engine and a 4 gears manual transmissin that sat in the back. Tatra as brand still exist, but they focus on heavy duty trucks fora few decades now because after the fall of communism in Europe, they could not compete with other brands in the car market (and made big losses while trying).

Not only Tatra, in eastern Europe many weird cars were build. This is also Czechian, the Velorex Oscar, a very cheap vehicle from just after WWII, in 1945 when working cars were sparse, and so were resources to get one. But some were creative... This has been build untill 1971.

This is the FSR Tarpan, a Polish 4x4 pickup truck build from 1973 to 1995 with a manual dif lock and a 69bhp 2.1L 4 cilinder engine, based on old dodge engines designs, coupled to a 4speed gearbox. This was long the workhorse of polish farmers and it's quiet capable for what it is. It was expensive to make altough so it did not survive the fall of communism well and went NLA in 1995. Also, the Lada Niva was a lot cheaper and easier to maintain than this one and could do more.

I've been lucky to have driven one in the polish Carapatian mountains (southern Poland) a few decades ago during a trip there. My local guide had one of those.
