Both of the soundtrack albums to Jim Jarmush film Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai.

The first that was released only in Japan, afaik, has much but not all of the music from the film, and is awesome.

The other is kinda like a mixtape put together by RZA and issued with the film's title and a picture of Forest Whitaker. It doesn't have much to do with the film's music but it's good.

The Wikipedia article explains this complicated situation very well and details the music in the film on neither album.

Still a better listening experience than the reissued CD I also own...don't know what it is, but this old school hip hop classic (IMO, the best rap album ever made) screams to be played on vinyl. Sure, the CD is louder and somewhat cleaner, but it just doesn't capture the magic of this original LP pressing.

CAN'T BELIEVE I FOUND A NEW SEALED COPY OF THIS AT A LOCAL RECORD SHOP THIS WEEKEND, BUT APPARENTLY THE "RESPECT THE CLASSICS" LINE OF HIP-HOP REISSUES INCLUDED THIS 12" SINGLE OF EAZY-E's CLASSIC IN 2015. SOUNDS FANTASTIC AND WAS PRESSED ON THICK (PRESUMABLY 180-GRAM) VINYL.
