Used to collect watches and trade, still have a sizeable collection.

But the one that really sticks with me is the Rolex Explorer II.

For dirty work, bicycle riding, motorbike etc. a Casio G-Shock is my tool of choice.

Some people need that to happen.
I do not, I'm a member of the subset group of people: "not all who wander are lost".

Or who know how to read maps.

But cars that turn off a car’s previously provided features as extortion for rent-seeking deserve an especially warm spot in Hell.

My pick for current road trip…super reliable Vostok Amphibian 80s model with vintage dial.

Doing some cleaning here this morning and going through stuff to get rid of and I found a watch! lol...I have no recollection of this but I guess I must have bought it at some point probably 20 years or more ago. It's quite nice! I'm going to get a new battery put in and add it to the rotation.

Omega is already advertising the ArtemisII/Orion/Integrity crew members' choice for their on-wrist SpeedMaster variants.
All four crew members also brought along a Breitling NaviTimer, for the ride-along... or as spares!;)

Had this as a daily for about 2 months. Has been great in that time.

This also happens to be my first post here! I've learned a good bit so far as well, with Amir's reviews and measurements influencing two purchases so far (SMSL RAW-MDA 1 and Hifiman HE6SE). The SMSL has been great, and the Hifiman is coming tomorrow.

I’m not a watch guy. I have a couple heirlooms that I never wear. My wife took a couple links out of my Rolex and she wears it now. It’s a 36mm, bought for my grandfather, a much smaller person than me. It always felt a touch small for me; better for my wife.

I wear a hand-me-down Apple Watch Ultra 1st gen that I like quite a bit. It reeks of quality, at least compared to the non-ultra. Still fast, nice display, etc. Tracks workouts, still has a long battery life. I don’t need any of the features of the newer models.

Previous Apple Watches I’ve owned didn’t have a big enough battery after a couple years. They would last a whole day so long as I wasn’t tracking a ski day or mountain bike workout. Also, the styling was too understated for me, even as a guy who doesn’t like bling.

I guess what I’m saying is that if you want a cheap Apple Watch, I think you’d be better off with a used Ultra 1 than a new SE.
