chronos are complex
chronos are hard to read
chronos require additional parts/buttons
chrono features are are rarely used
chronos mbtf cannot be that good
chronos at nighto_O

I have never had a watch with:
Military grade Titanium Carbide black PVD hard coating
I've had 2 DLC and 1 PVD-coated watches and finally learned the hard-way that they wear off.
OT: Same goes for 'titanium coated' drill bits and anti-stick pans...

You see “titanium coated” on the utter tat that sits on promotional displays at the end of aisles in supermarket/hardware stores, usually under a banner that proclaims “as seen on tv” as a badge of quality.
The world needs less useless tat.

So a chrono is a pain in the butt is the basic truth there. LoL.

I have used/worn out dozens and dozens of drill registers and I found that replacing the high traffic high speed drill sizes with expensive cobalt bits saves money in the end. Especially the pilot drill sizes and the common sizes that get lots of wear. I can't say what you use whether that be metric or imperial but the smaller sizes are a no brainer on cobalt purchases because they are economical at that price range and then after about 3/8" the price jumps with each drill size. With cobalt drill bits one can very easily cut into stainless steel and it's alloys and T4's cut is like butter.

All true. But I do love them so.

You are not helping!

I have been trying to convince @Doodski to wean himself from digititus... for over a year.
I'll see how the digital T300 looks on the wrist with the new strap I ordered via postal service to my mailbox. None of this FedEx waiting at home for 2 days delivery stuff.

I get asked about it by colleagues and customers even though I never ever talk watches (unless someone else does, lots like audio :-D)... definitely a favorite even though I own more expensive ones (yet again a parallel to audio :-D)...

PS: Next time you are in Frankfurt (am Main), visit the Sinn store+manufacture, provided you are a mechanical watch fan.

Needs to come with a cover & sunglasses (for when you open the cover)!
It really is something...LoL. I like it easy to read and the Timex T300 digital that I have at present is the easy reader king for sure but the silicon strap is a sheit fest. If I get gung ho on the strap I might even try the carbon fiber strap on the T300. I can't gulp $1200 for a cool Italian watch including the carbon fiber strap. I could but I am not sure the satisfaction of looking at industrial art on my wrist 24/7 is enough to keep me calm whenever I pay the bill.
Imagine this Timex T300 digital face on this carbon fiber with red stitching and black buckle strap.
