I want to post a deep and serious warning about the site at class(d)audio.com ClassDAudio

We purchased a mastering amp from them over 3 years ago and it died within a few months.
We returned it back to them under warranty to the owner "Tom" who complained of chip shortages "COVID" and such and never got back to us or fullfiled the warranty.

Be strongly advised NOT TO PURCHASE products from this company. We will be further filing complaints.

I have sent numerous emails to this outfit and it has been over 3 years since I returned them my amp and I have had no response.
I am happy to share all emails on the thread for anyone interested.

Once again DO NOT buy these products - they are poorly designed and will fail and there is zero support.
They are currently selling this ... We bought a mastering amp...

Mini GaN 5 !!!!!DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

BE WARNED
Feel free to contact us for any and all information.

Regards,

We happily use our Bryston, Ayre, and Krell amps everyday with fantastic support.

Odd first post?

I had a mini gan 5 amp from them. had no issues . seems odd you let it go on 3yrs

its so bad when companies do this!
I have a Burson CV2+ which failed in the first of 5 years of warranty, they never helped me and the solution

Three years seems like a long time to wait before complaining...
The failure happened within the year of purchase. No fix or resolution has occurred and it was sent back in that year. No response no amp for 3! Years!

Agreed - Do not purchase products from companies that are fraudulent in their terms! Best warn the community!

Their amp failed on me in 7 months and the owner Tom promised to fix it and after I returned it I never heard back.

If Tom from “class D Audio” would like to jump on the thread here I encourage that because I’ve been cheated out of a grand. WTF is my amp TOM after 3+ years?

I just sent an email to the company specifically referring to this post and asking if there is another side to the story. Will be interesting to see if I get a direct response, or they show up here, or do nothing.

Until or unless Tom shows up, unless any other members have something to say from their own experience of the company, let's tone things down please.

I can't find an address (other than 'California,' a rather large place) or a phone number ('Phone: By Appointment') on the Class D Audio website. I looked at a couple of their manuals, and that info is similarly absent.

I'm reluctant to do business with any organization that is less than fully transparent regarding their whereabouts.

Interesting, I can't find it either. In some parts of the world, that's straight up illegal. Business websites need to disclose full address, name of legal representative, tax registration number etc. in Germany for example. It's a bit of a sport for malevolent competitors to unleash the lawyers and get you fined for missing that sort of thing.

The whole website seems rather unprofessional as well. Maybe they should invest time into taking better pictures, before photoshopping the American flag onto it. Or improve their horrible text formatting. There's even a literal a lorem ispum placeholder text on the blog.
