Good Evening Everyone. I got the digital flyer from Parts Express and there are 2 new speaker kits for sale now. Skyline which am interested in and a small book shelf MK402X. Here is a 10 Second video on face book of them both. I have no idea how they sound so am super curious about the Newer tweeter they are using in it? The Reference series is a good example of how you can get nice sound for little money. The Newer woofer series are in this kit as well. I just am looking at it for a playing back round music and some tv and so on. My wife is not to fond of my coffin size double horn box in our front room so they sit in the corner for now. . I had to give up my study room/ listening room/ to help my Daughter out. (What dads will do for our kids. ). Here is also a picture of both of them . What to you all think of the Skyline kit? is it worth the money? Thanks Jeff

Build it and ship to Amir and then we will all have measurements ;)
PE seems to have acquired some smart designers so I would expect it to be good. Then again I am no longer interested in designs with conventional tweeters when waveguided ones have such advantage. (That's not to say conventional tweeters are somehow BAD, it's just the engineer part of my brain exerting its prejudices)
EDIT: There's also a Reddit discussion which I can't access from here

No off axis data, DI mismatch on the mid to tweeter. Why did they not use a waveguide?

Imagine if PE tried to make a good kit other than the cnotes instead of kits meant to offload stock. I imagine the rs150 are just not selling, so we have two new kits using them.

Dropping 1k on just parts only to get a speaker with an old school di mismatch is wild to me.
