I'm thinking to do the same with my 1200as2 and 300a2.
Did you put it straight in the monitor outputs? Are they 12V?

The 300A2 Vmon outs weren’t strong enough to move these meters directly, so I tapped the audio input for a cheap Vu driver board form Amazon, with 12VDC from my MicroAudio SMPS for the driver and lamps.

With my multich/atmos rig it's getting very near the point I'd need a wall of meters like this.

I can understand your needs!
Yes, I've seen that post and gave it a "like" a long time ago.
You did a really outstanding job on the build, my hat goes off to you !!!
BTW, I believe Paul W Klipsch was the last person I heard using the term "Squawker" LOL ;)

Thank you for the point. In Japan, we still use "Squawker" for "Mid-range" driver. I will use "Mid-range" or "Mid-range driver" from now-on in ASR Forum:)

No worries friend, use whatever you like. I was just kidding with you.
Cheers.

Thank you again!
Since English is not my mother language, any of corrections and/or suggestions for improvements on my writing will be highly appreciated;)

The Chief of the PinkPanthers fancies having 'something moving while listening to music' and gets nostalgic while remembering VU meters as being the 'coolest thing' about his youth's hifi eqpt.
To prevent him from getting VU separation anxiety, I think we should take up a collection and drop-ship few dozen of these portable-ish 1.3" LCD VU meters (Vox) for his birthday:

My giant VU meters made with an Arduino (and large speakers).

They aren't really VU meters or any kind of "meter". There are a VU meter effect... It's uncalibrated and they adjust automatically to the signal level for lots of "meter action" with volume changes and with quiet or loud songs. It has a dot mode and optionally it can randomly reverse (quiet on top and louder going down) or invert (all LEDs on with silence with more going off with loudness) and more variations. Plus, there are various chasing effects, etc.
