Voxx has been sold to new owner (Gentex).... Klipsch, Onkyo, Integra, etc...

More importantly PAC as a unit is profitable - and that is the fundamental problem with Sound United, which has made losses ever since the Masimo acquisition and why it may be hard to find a buyer for SU as a whole.
I think the biggest problem is, even at the time, Joe Kiani substantially overpaid for SU. Even if VOXX had not sold for 1/5th the SU acquisition cost, there's just no way MASI will be able to unload SU without taking a hit.

Once they've decided that it is a "write off" then the hit is going to be irrelevant, it will be about getting the best possible price for the division they want gone - a garage sale.

My own popcorn theory is that Kiani will get together with some PE friends and buy it off MASI and install himself as CEO. :D

While we are speculating, my theory is that they will merge all product lines into DenonMarantz brand (or the other way around), and even then loose some of the current products. Perhaps do some more on wireless solutions for the new gen that is not that fond of wiring - and perhaps more mobile that the older generations.

I definitely agree they need to do that, or at least slim down the line and differentiate it a bit more -- and lean into wireless and soundbars.

I think for any chance for AR to come back, MK Sound would have needed to be back first (especially w/their pedigree at Skywalker Ranch)!

Old badges tend to be lost in memory, especially in this current generation of "what have you done for me lately"!
Especially brands which were primarily limited to a smaller customer base. The next generation would never have heard of them except for in the case if their family had it while growing up.

Hopefully so. He will have to learn about financial discipline though and turn it around. Unless you are a FANG, you actually have to run the business based on its merits, not just passion.

Or for the promo package *cough*

Just bought an Onkyo DX-C390 but that design is from way before Voxx bought them. I added a 4 year warranty anyway just to be safe. Onkyo was my go to brand in the 90's and early 2000's. It is sad to see how their products have fallen in quality.
