Hi,
For my living room setup, I used to have a laptop going to a topping DAC and then an amp to the speakers.
Now with my young kids getting into music they use Amazon Echo and Google Nest Mini tons as it is easy with the voice commands for them to play all the music they want. So over time, it has now taken over as the main hub for picking music on Spotify.
Anyways, now it goes Amazon Echo (streaming spotify) via the 3.5mm headphone jack to the amp and speakers.
The DAC downgrade on the Echo is noticeable, but unfortunately, the convenience of having voice command is just so much nicer that it seems to be worth it to keep it this way.
So my question is:
Is there a cheap voice-controlled option for controlling Spotify that has digital outputs? (The ideal would be something in the google or amazon ecosystem, but I am up for anything that is voice command)
I hear that the Echo Link has digital outputs but it is $269 here in Canada and I was hoping for a much cheaper option.
Any suggestions?
