The chrome plated tulip stands fairly scream Continental, don't they? 
In my defense, I'll point out that the oh-so-70s-shiny Gale 401 loudspeaker was from the UK, which is not, technically, continental.

Since I love all aspects of all eras of hifi, including publications and advertisements therein -- I decided I am going to, randomly, select a random issue of a vintage audio publication (e.g., from www.worldradiohistory.com) and select a more-or-less random but interesting ad from it to share.
Today's lucky random winner was
... and here's the not entirely random ad I chose.

Great loudspeaker, the ESL-63... but I must say: very aperiodic strikes me as an odd turn of phrase*.
Is very aperiodic logically equivalent to not very periodic? ... or to very irregular, for that matter?
I lose sleep over existential questions such as these.
