At $14,000-$15,000 USD, I‘m a bit disappointed by the directivity mismatch around 2kHz. Without looking at the price, I would have called it a pretty good performer.

If you don’t know, Stereophile reviewed the Mino, the $31,000 ($39,500 with diamond tweeter upgrade) tower version, there is even another tower with larger woofers; the Mino’s measurements are pretty great:

Also, Vimberg is an “offshoot” of Tidal Audio. Stereophile reviewed their Akira model ($215,000) and the looks are near identical to the Mino and it’s larger brother and the measurements are similar (dare I say worse):

I feel sad for anyone who paid that extra ~$175,000 for the Akira.

I wonder how Tidal’s La Assoluta measures as it costs a whopping ~$600,000:

They even have a whole spiel about measurements:

I heard the Mino at RMAF 2018, and I can attest that the sound was awesome, subjectively of course. Almost everybody there liked them a lot. Actually, the Mino is larger and goes deeper than the Tidal Piano, and for a lot less moolah.

Testing some speakers horizontal dispersion to only 45 degrees is a bit confusing and makes comparison difficult. Don’t Stereophile usually show results out to 75 or 90 degrees?
Edit: for example, Revel f228

Sometimes Atkinson simply can’t measure to 90° due to measuring setup/location restraints.

Yeah, I think some (many?) of the large towers are too big to put on a 'turntable' to rotate them.

What a nonsense text, I don't know of any loudspeaker claiming "20-100000Hz +- 2dB" but in the audio range where it can be very measured with not too expensive calibrated microphones.

That tweeter is breaking bad way too close to the audio band...

True. However, the power of frequencies that high is low. So unless playing a vinyl and worrying about pops and such, I doubt it will be an audible concern. But would I like for the resonant frequency to be higher and/or have a reduction in the resonant peak, of course.
