Personally I would use an Ampex ATR over Studer. The article references custom tape electronics designer Tim de Paravicini, https://www.stereophile.com/content/tim-de-paravacini-rip noted engineer.

It's an advertisement, so there is snake oil, but the company serves a purpose in the audio ecosystem and is respected.

Makes me wonder why they didn't do this in the first place. It's a good story and I agree there's a place in audio for mofi, they do LP reissues very nicely.
