Even more interesting is them losing an engine:


Interesting that they speak a mix of English and German (?) to ATC (air traffic controller). And that English measures like feet are used.

My brother is a commercial pilot... English is pretty standard internationally AFAIK -- used as a common language across countries and ATCs (air traffic controllers).
