These babies have no problem pushing air through a 1mm hole, a much smaller hole compared to that port in Verum and the ear canal. I think you kind of overcomplicate things with viscosity, fluid dynamics etc.

Physics is physics .. it doesn't matter whether one goes into more depth or skirts over the details to make it more approachable. One man's "overcomplication" is another man's "more interesting" .. and I definitely see things latterly.

Remember that sound *waves* propagate, not the material itself - the air won't be moving through small holes necessarily.

Getting back to the point, a bandpass or even a reflex enclosure isn't what's happening here : in normal speakers, we are outside the enclosure system and the goal of the system is to couple with the air in the room and to propgate sound waves through that medium.

In headphones our ear drum is one wall of the enclosure itself !
