Using SSD on Bluesound Node Icon

Hello,

I consider buying the Bluesound Node Icon. I would like to plug in a SSD, on which I will store my CD-Collection. Now I don’t know how comfortable you can use the Node ICON as a player for the SSD. I would like to use playlists and I don’t want to use the BlueOS App, but the remote control instead (although I don’t mind to use the App in order to create a playlist, but I don’t want to depend on the App when choosing a playlist).

Now is it possible to have playlists for an external SSD and select them with the remote control after switching on the Node Icon?

Is it easy to access a playlist in the menu, or do I have to go through several settings each time before I can choose one?

Could someone please describe, how many steps I would have to go through each time, when I want to play files from a SSD? (I would like it to be just a few steps, because I compare this to using my CD-Player, where I can just press play and the track-number)

So would the Node Icon be as easy and direct in access as using a CD?

You have 5 buttons on the ICON for presets, these can be linked to playlists. 10 presets are possible with the remote control.
Otherwise nothing works without the app.
