Using Apple TV 4K As A Music Streamer With USB-C To HDMI Cable?

I want to try using an Apple TV 4K as a music streamer. My SMSL DO100 DAC does not have an HDMI input. To get around that problem I plan on using a USB-C to HDMI cable. What do you experienced techies think about that arrangement?

You would need an audio extractor. Quite cheap and works almost flawlessly, buy from Aliexpress
