User Friendly good-enough DAC with XLR Out

I bought my SMSL SU8 years ago and have it in a room where I sadly listen after longer stretches of days where it resets itself to not send music out. I'm streaming music from a Moode Pi into the DAC via USB. Out to some Elac active floor standing speakers. I often have to fuss with the SU8 to get sound and dislike the "user experience" with that remote and tiny display. I feel foolish not knowing what setting gets in the way of correct function but I'd love a DAC with similar setup (USB in, XLR out) that I don't need to troubleshoot and really dislike the remote as well. I have no doubt given the age of this thing, that there are fantastic options. I'd love to be able to control it without a remote or at least with a well marked one. Better if I didn't need it at all in a pinch.

I have no need for overkill dac features I can't discern sonically. I'm mostly looking for trouble free usability. I do occasionally wish for a different streaming option so if there's DAC's out there that do some of the streaming part, let me know. My infrequent fussing applies to the Moode streamer as well. It works but I fuss with it often and it often gets in the way of listening. I flip flop on services but most often use Apple. I know that puts me in the gutter of the audiophile world :)

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Streaming DAC with Apple Music support, balanced output, and on-device controls only matches the Eversolo DMP-A6/A8/A10 IIRC.

Matrix Audio might have some as well, not sure.

I can't comment on ease of use/fussiness unfortunately, hopefully other members can help you out.

I hadn't seen that option. Wish it were closer in price. to the WIIM streamers but they look great.

If I just need a reliable balanced output DAC with a volume control, any good options ? There's way too many DACs to choose from.

As an alternative, I'd suggest the well-reviewed Fosi Audio ZD3 Balanced DAC. It's easy to use and includes a remote control.

@staticV3 I just found the Eversolo A6 thread and was psyched to see it now has room correction. The A8 was a bit above my price range.
Any advice on which of the Eversolo streamers makes the most sense ? A quick look at the Master and I was less than certain I'd actually hear the component upgrades it had over the regular Gen 2.
I see they're on Amazon, any rec on the best place to purchase it otherwise ?

Is there a good guide/summary somewhere of the current DAC features. I had believed their function had long past the ability of most people to hear the benefit of the latest chipsets but not having shopped for a few years, beyond big things like having XLR outputs, USB in, I no longer know what are the main benefits and upgraded functions at the different DAC pricepoints.

This is not only a late response but a cheap response:
I ran across these 'cables' at amazon:
J&D USB C to Dual XLR Male Audio Stereo Cable Cord Converter Adapter for Amplifier, Mixing Console Mixer, Speaker Compatible with iPhone 16 Pro Max/16 Pro/16 Plus/16/15/15 Pro Max/15 Pro/15 Plus, 1 METER version...
Amazon link
For under $20, I'd consider this 'good-enough'.
