Used home theatre speakers

I'm looking at putting together a little 5.0 setup in my apartment. Im looking at going cheap by buying 2nd hand. That said I'm considering going with the pioneer andrew jones speakers - 4 bookshelves and the centre. I can get this fairly cheap and they seem to be fairly common. That said are there any other speaker models to look out for at a cheap price? And how would the andrew jones be for my small living room?

I'm tired of having to watch everything with subtitles on because I can't hear dialogue thru my soundbar.

The mod is a bit outside of my skill level but I've been looking for the already modded versions on the used market
